The Story Behind The Ball Bloke
The Ball Bloke wasn’t created as a business idea.
It came from life experience.
A Different Perspective
Over the past few years, life changed in ways that forced a complete reset.
Like many men, I went through a period that tested everything — personally, financially, and mentally.
There were moments where the future felt uncertain.
And times where the path forward wasn’t clear.
What became clear, however, was this:
There are a lot of men going through tough times.
And too many are doing it alone.
Reconnecting With The Game
During that time, I found myself reconnecting with golf.
Not just as a sport.
But as something grounding.
A place where:
-
conversations happen naturally
-
people reconnect
-
and life slows down, even if only for a few hours
At the same time, I started collecting old golf clubs and balls.
Each piece had history.
Each one told a story.
And it became clear that these objects could be given a second life — not just as golf equipment, but as something meaningful.
From Idea to Purpose
What started small quickly became something more.
The Ball Bloke was built around two simple ideas:
-
Respect the history of the game
-
Use it as a platform to give something back
That’s where the trophy concept was born.
Taking old clubs — often forgotten or discarded — restoring them, and turning them into something that matters again.
Looking Forward
The goal is not to build the biggest golf business.
It’s to build something that lasts.
-
A sustainable business
-
A connection to community
-
A legacy that can be carried forward over time
Something that supports a simple, meaningful life — and creates opportunities to give back along the way.
This is just the beginning.
And like the game itself, it’s about the journey.
